Among the various interface devices that consent connections to Simatic S7, we would like to point out tests successfully carried out on Movicon with the HelmHolz interface devices, distributed in Italy by Telestar Srl.
The SSW7 device is a MPI-adapter convertor for Simatic S7 PLCs with MPI 19,2 or 187,5 Kbit/s velocity, and RS232 velocity up to 115 Kbaud.
The NetLink PRO Compact is a new RJ45 interface device in TCP-IP ethernet network and consents connections to all Simatic S7200-300-400 PLCs in PPI/MPI/Profibus networks with max. velocity of 12 Mbaud.

Report Designer Features
The Report Designer is an integrated Movicon project designer tool that gives users the possibility to create powerful reports for analyzing and presenting historical data, recorded on database by the Movicon DataLoggers.
The Report Designer can be used by all those that need to create powerful reports directly within the Movicon platform, by simply activating the report editor button from each one of the DataLogger properties.
The Report Designer offers the possibility to create Reports directly connecting to data recorded by the DataLoggers which the Reports are linked to. The Designer comes complete with all those functions needed for reporting and which can be inserted as needed such as headers, footers, groupings, filters, calculations (totals, averages, etc.), 2D and 3D charts, as well as scripts, labels, pictures and much more for presenting data.

Movicon 11.2 Beta Version
The Progea R&D team developers are working on the next forthcoming version 11.2 release of the Movicon 11 technological platform. In the meanwhile a Beta version has been made available for free downloading for those who wish to use it for checking out additional new features including important updates considered to be among the best software technologies available to project engineers working in the world of automation.
